About Me & The Blog

Hi there!

Welcome to Strictly Bromance.

This is a blog dedicated to all things Daomu Biji and all things bromance.

My name is Michelle and I built this blog out of love for Daomu Biji. As big as this franchise is in China, there is very little information about it available in English. Thus, this blog was created in the hope of helping non-Chinese-speaking fans learn more about this remarkable series.

[Disclaimer: Chinese is not my native language. As such, there are occasions when I may not be able to pick up ‘language nuances’ during the process of translation. You’re welcome to give feedback when you spot an issue. Thank you so much.]

In this blog, you may find general information about Daomu, news, reviews, excerpt translations and personal analyses. Daomu Biji is a gigantic novel set in a universe filled with mysteries and unanswered questions. There really are a lot of things I have yet to know about the series. Would you like to join me on this journey of uncovering the secrets surrounding it?

In addition, as the blog tagline says, I am a “Daomu Biji fangirl on one hand, bromance fanatic on the other”. This blog will thus also bring you my bromance recommendations that I have handpicked through many years of reading, watching and indulging in various formats of fiction originating from both the Eastern and the Western sides of this planet. Perhaps you could find something that you will like too! (Note also that Daomu Biji also features some of the greatest bromance ever created in the history of fiction. In fact, I personally consider it to have the best bromance that I’ve ever encountered.)

At one point in time, I decided to add the 3rd section to this blog, dedicating it to the translation of three Chinese BL webnovels The Trial Game of Life, The Invasion Day and Saving Unpermitted. When it comes to BL, those that I choose to translate often come from mystery, supernatural or adventure genres with slow-burn, drama-free romance. A highly plot-driven story with ambitious world-building is also very much preferred. I hope you can give these translations a try! ^^

And if there’s any other random thing about me, then, well, apart from indulging in bromance and occasional BL, I specially enjoy horror, thriller and mystery from any country, in any format. Who knows, one day I might open another section on this website to share my thriller recommendation list (。•̀ᴗ-)✧.

I’m pretty active on Tumblr, where I share lots of random tidbits, info and memes about Daomu Biji or my latest bromance discoveries. If you would like to say “Hi” or contact me for any issue, please don’t hesitate to find me there.

I hope you will enjoy your time here.

And again, Welcome to Strictly Bromance!

A small break & Hoping everyone stays safe!

Hello! I just start reading The Trial Game of Life and become really interested in the novel! Also, The Trial Game of Life is not available in my mother language, and makes me really sad! Soo, Could I translate into Portuguese (Brazilian) from your translation? obviously, I would give full credit for the English translation when I post. (sorry my bad eng!) and if it wasn't convenient for you, that's fine! (about me translating)

Oh! I was also a bit surprised because I like daomu biji a lot too! I translated the first and a little bit of the second book into Portuguese on Wattpad.
